【my(vacation及to及beijing)】Last summer, I had the opportunity to take a trip to Beijing, the capital of China. It was my first time visiting this amazing city, and I was really excited to explore its rich history, culture, and modern attractions.
The moment I arrived at the airport, I was impressed by how busy and efficient everything was. The city seemed to be a perfect mix of old and new. On the first day, I visited the Forbidden City, which is one of the most famous landmarks in Beijing. Walking through the ancient halls and courtyards, I could almost imagine what life was like for the emperors and their families centuries ago. The architecture was breathtaking, and the details on every building showed the craftsmanship of the past.
After that, I went to the Temple of Heaven, where I learned about the traditional Chinese beliefs and rituals. The peaceful atmosphere there made me feel calm and reflective. I also tried some local food, like Peking duck and dumplings, which were delicious. Eating with locals gave me a better understanding of the culture and lifestyle in Beijing.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Great Wall of China. Standing at the top of the wall, looking out over the mountains and valleys, I felt a deep sense of awe. It was a bit tiring climbing up, but the view was worth it. I took many photos and even bought a small souvenir to remember the experience.
In the evenings, I walked around the hutongs, the traditional alleyways of Beijing. They gave me a glimpse into the daily life of the people who live there. Some areas were quiet and peaceful, while others had lively markets and street vendors selling all kinds of goods.
I also visited the Summer Palace, where I enjoyed a boat ride on Kunming Lake. The scenery was beautiful, and it was a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Overall, my vacation to Beijing was an unforgettable experience. I learned a lot about Chinese history and culture, and I got to see some of the most iconic places in the world. I would definitely go back again someday, maybe with more time to explore the city even further.
